About Tumbled Finish:
For exterior flooring, one of the best choices is a tumbled (antiqued) stone or tumbled paver. Because its beauty lies within the fact that it has already been worn, battered, and roughed up, there really isn't much that you can do to destroy its charm. Tumbled refers to the finish of the material. A tumbled finish is achieved by placing pavers in a special tumbling drum along with aggregates. These aggregates labor to create a wonderfully worn, weathered effect by battering the face of the tile as well as rounding and softening its edges. When installing a tumbled stone floor, you may want to add a color-enhancing sealer to draw out the deeper tones and veining buried within its surface.
