Coquina (little shells), also known as Shellstone, is a white-cream limestone composed predominantly of shells or fragments of shells. This material in particular, is extracted from quarries that have been compacted very well during the years; that makes this type of Coquina suitable not only for walls and architectural elements, but also for floors. Coquina is an excellent material for pool decks; it doesn't get hot with the sun and it is not slippery; its embedded shells makes you feel as if you were standing on the beach. Coquina Pavers are available for installation over sand.
